Dr. Shakuntala Haraksingh Thilsted, from the Blue Food Assessment’s scientific leadership team, has received the 2021 World Food Prize. The award celebrates her groundbreaking research, critical insights and landmark innovations in developing holistic, nutrition-sensitive approaches to aquaculture and food systems.

The World Food Prize is an international award recognizing the achievements of individuals who have advanced human development by improving the quality, quantity, or availability of food in the world.
