Fellowships

Blue Food Futures Fellows research critical questions about blue foods, filling knowledge gaps and providing actionable insights for global food and climate initiatives.

We are not accepting fellowship applications at this time.

The Blue Food Futures Fellowship empowers early career researchers and professionals dedicated to advancing the role of blue foods in global food systems transformation. This program strengthens the link between science, policy, and action in blue food research, supporting innovative ideas that address pressing challenges in food, climate, nature, and social equity.

Fellows receive a 12-month research stipend based at their home institution to support fieldwork and policy engagement. They also receive mentorship from global blue food experts and have opportunities to present research at international policy fora. Over the course of the year, fellows will connect with a global network of blue food researchers, policymakers, and practitioners.
