Sustainability – From Ocean to Plate

Seafood and the ocean is key to providing a growing world population with safe and sustainable nutrition. Building on a long standing, joint effort to promote the importance of sustainable solutions in the seafood value chain, the Norwegian Embassy, Innovation Norway and the Norwegian Seafood Council jointly hosted an event to kick off Norway’s participation at Seafood Expo Global in Barcelona, Spain.

The “Sustainability – From Ocean to Plate” program featured presentations on the increasing importance of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) and sustainability in corporate finance—and for the end consumers—as well as game-changing innovations in the technology value chain.

Dr. Fabrice DeClerck, Science Director at EAT and a member of the BFA Core Team, joined the event and presented on “Healthy people, healthy planet: Opportunities and risks for seafood.”
